Characteristics

“Barzella” peonies are herbaceous perennials with large, double, lemon-yellow flowers that have a slightly spicy fragrance. The flowers bloom from late spring to early summer. As one of the first yellow-flowered intersectional peonies, the development of “Barzella” was a significant breakthrough in peony breeding. Intersectional peonies, also known as Itoh peonies, are a cross between herbaceous and tree peonies that combine the best qualities of both. The plant has attractive dark green foliage that lasts throughout the growing season. This beautiful peony is a low-maintenance plant that requires little pruning or fertilization. Here are some care recommendations for a peony bouquet: When you receive the peonies bouquet, carefully remove it from its packaging. Under running water, cut the flower stems diagonally at a 45-degree angle with clean and sharp scissors. This will prevent air bubbles from forming in the stems, which can obstruct water uptake.
